I used the neutralizing shampoo (the brown big bottle)  I base my scalp with a base(vaseline) and leave it on for approx 20 minutes max including the pain staking smoothing. I started using the box no lye regular version in may 2003. The relaxer, for her, cut waaaay back on shrinkage (which is the original reason for doing it) and it did loosen her curls bit.
